How I lost my cellphone

During our way out of the taxi at the NAIA centennial airport, Josh accidentally left his XDA and being the last one to disembark, I got it and handed it to him.

John: Mayaman ka?

Josh: Kinda hahaha, bakit?

John: Eto o cellphone mo, iniwan mo!

Josh: Hehehe sorry..thanks!

John: Maghire kana kaya ng PA para di na ako tagapulot ng mga naiiwan mo!

John: (Habang kinakapa ang pants) OMG! Shet! Fuck!

Josh: HUH! what happened?!

John:(While pointing to the taxi, hoping na di pa nakaalis) My Cellphone! Bilis tawagan mo

We called it a couple of times, texted and begged na sana isoli. Nobody answered. Then the phone was turned off. Bad thing, nakasilent mode pa(I dont normally turn this to silent mode). Josh tried to deactivate the phone lock the night before that and i never tried if it was indeed deactivated. Sana na deactivate yun para in case maopen nila they could read our txts.

John: Bakit di ka galit? Important yun sakin, Id rather lose my wallet than lose it. Gift mo sakin yun!

Josh: ok lang yun, palitan nalang natin, at least na save mo phone ko.

Habang nakatanga sa airport while pumipila si josh sa ticketing office ng PAL.

John: OMG!

Josh: Ano na naman yan?

John: Yung pictures ko! sa phone!

OO..... my phone has things that only I can see. Pictures, videos, etc. Kawawa naman ako if the next time na bibili ako ng porn dvd eh ako na pala ang starring. Or sa next porn site na iviview ko ako na pala ang feature.

Sana ung magbebenta nun, would be kind enough to delete my mini sd card para naman di ako mapahiya. Sa kanya nalang ang phone ko. Sa kanya nalang ang memories na nirerepresent ng phone ko. Pero sana dinelete nya muna before he sells it to greenhills.

Or sana ung bibili ng phone ko would be kind enough to delete the contents of my mini sd card before he resells it sa greenhills.

Company Extra-co

I have been very active in organizing events for my company especially at NEC while I was still in Cebu. Well I think that is the legacy I left my beloved NEC when I left the company more than two years ago. I definitely missed doing these things. Though I admit na im not really an IT person, my frustration towards doing other things not IT related is poured on these activities. Every time they assign me to a committe or a working group, nauubos oras ko thinking of the thins I need to accomplish rather than focusing on my bugs, etc. Eventually, I realized na this has hampered my obligations sa project group ko.

When I transferred to CyberJ, I promised not to participate in any company activity. I was bored but at least I proved to myself na ok lng pala di maging active. The only thing I did was to organize a presentation for our Christmas party.

RendtionDigital is my third company and second in Manila. And again I vowed not to participate in any company activity. Maybe nasa aura ko na na kahit di ako umimik, bigla nalang ako iaassign o iaask to participate. Maybe its in the "blood". Ill just give this a try. Missed organizing events na rin. It has been two years since the last.

Cross Posting

While tinkering the features of multiply, I came across a link that would transfer your old posts from other blog service to multiply. I tried it, kakatuwa, I now have it here yung old posts ko with blogspot. I just added the posts I had last year till I started with multiply. Sobrang tagal na kasi yung 2 years and it would not make any sense. And besides, di lahat pwede makaread nun. Amazing I know have 44 posts! I hope my posts here would get reflected sa blogspot. hmmm

Last Monday, Julius sent me the link of the pictures that Joan uploaded on her blog. Joan and Julius are my close friends from high school. I was shocked to see that she uploaded our very vintage high school pictures. At first, nagpanic ako and my reaction was really violent. Shet, it was very painful to see the old me(ANG OA KO TALAGA!!!). Pero, on the lighter side, it was so good to see how I progressed. Since nahohook ako ngayon at watching ANTM, though wala siya masyado use sakin kasi girls yung mga characters but still, it is so inspiring na ugly ducklings can still look fab. And that is the greatness of the transformation process. Kaya eto, di ako defensive mode ha. Papakita ko lang yung isang pic ko kasi kakahiya na yung iba hahaha

Being a Cebuano, I still find it very offensive everytime I hear Bisaya jokes especially the connotation that the people from the Visayas-Mindanao islands are maids. Though, there is nothing really wrong about being a household help, the generalization kills me. It is true that we Cebuanos find it really hard to speak the national language because of the very fact that we don't use it everyday. We would rather use Cebuano, a language we are more comfortable using. Why would we speak Tagalog when every one that we deal with only speaks either Cebuano or English? Pero since andito ako sa turf ng mga Tagalog, I have no choice but to learn to speak the language. Mahirap as it is, dumudugo din ilong ko sa kaka compose ng sentence ko in Tagalog, and my friends are aware of that. Two years of being here cant even guarantee me a flawless Tagalog accent cause up till now, prevalent pa rin ang Cebuano accent ko which is MATIGAS... hahahaha

About a month ago, I received a text message from a friend. At first, I thought it was a quote and I hate receiving quotes. Out of boredom, I tried reading them. I found out that it was a message coming from a "katulong" to his "amo".

I got these transcripts from another blog and it really makes me laugh. The wit, intellect and Inda's superb use of the english language can definitely land her a job sa show ni Donald Trump. hehehe

My Birthday Challenge

Two nights ago, last Sunday to be exact while my mind was wrestling against my so called mild insomnia, I thought of something. Turning 25 is a big event for me. I should give myself something intangible that is worth the effort.

After months of hearing people to tell me to quit smoking, I finally decided to give it a try. Hard as it is, but you will never achieve something unless you give it a shot.

While I was convincing myself to really do it, I came up with a lot of benefits for doing such:

SAVINGS - since every stick costs around 2 pesos and I consume an average of 8 - 10 sticks a day, this would probably give me 400 - 600 pesos savings
HEALTH - I have to admit that smoking really kills. Cancer is the major cause of death in my family. So when my mom knew that I started smoking, she freaked out! This leads to a cleaner lung for me too hehehe ...
WELL-BEING - Smoking causes your skin to be dry and your lips to be dark! So probably this has caused my intake of Glutathione to be less effective(Kasi hindi convinced si Georgia na pumuti na ako hehehe). And I wanted to look good kaya sige na nga quit na ako.
SCENT - Smoking may cause bad breathe and mag aamoy yosi ka pa. Kaya gastos sa mouth wash and perfume.
Today is my challenge's first day. I really don't know what to expect. Smoking has been my closest friend everytime im depressed, excited, alone and angry. He understands me more than anyone(hehe weird ko naman para akong tanga!) and I don't know what to do when I crave for it. Unsaon na ang early morning routine ko, ang after meal routine, ang strolling while singing routine, waiting for my food to be cooked routine, and ang bored and busy sa work routine ko. ..haay!

Informing people of this plan gives me the pressure that I need to make this challenge a success. Im really determined to finish this 40 days of no smoking. I won't promise to finally quit once Im successful with the 40 days fasting but at least diba 40 days pa rin yun! The more that I wont promsie na matatapos ko ang 40 days hahaha pero again at least I tried pa rin. Wish me luck nalang guys!

Holy Week in Pandan Island and Apo Reef

Sa dami ng papuntang Puerto Galera, we almost got tempted to go there nalang instead of Abra de Ilog.

Landing at Abra de Ilog was a big mess. We were forced to ride on a non-aircon minibus. Puro alikabok mukha namin at di pa kami hinatid sa Sablayan. Hanggang Mamburao lang. Tragic!

Upon reaching Mamburao, Mindoro Occidental, nana puy lain problem which is ang bus schedule. We reached this town at 10am and the bus driver that the next trip is scheduled at 12 pa.The 10am bus was really full, with no choice left, we were forced to squeeze in sa bus. Shet! Init, abog! baho! lahat ng panget andun.Birthday pa naman ni Mark at Im sure galit na si Josh.

Reaching Sablayan was a breathe of fresh air for us. Finally we are 15 minutes away from our destination.




Wow! super nice ang Pandan Island. White sand beach, super tropical with its guests 90% foreigners. On the tragic side again, walang kuryente, walang fresh water.

Pero ok na rin. The trip to this island was so exhausting kaya pagod lahat ng mga tao. Pag gabi nlgn kami bumawi. Kami lang ang nasa bar at naglasing kami at nag night swimming!

The follwing day we met our Apo Reef tripmates. Mabait naman sila at madali namin sila nakasundo. Sabay na kami bumalik sa Sablayan. Upon reaching Sablayan, We made sure na aircon room namin kahit 5 hours lang kami hehehe.Super bait ng homestay namin, libre na kami sa rice libre pa kami sa coke! hehehe








5Am ng Saturday was our schedule for Apo Reef. Two hours biyahe namin. Again walang kuryente sa Apo Reef at nagtent lng kami.Sarap mag swimming. Immediately snorkling na kami agad. Naglagoon kami na may stingray. Naglighthouse kami.Paggabi naman inuman, kwnetuhan, open forum lahat ang saya!

Highlight naman dito, nung tulog na silang lahat, lumabas kami ni Josh sa tent at nag usap, kantahan. Tapos sinayaw niya ako under the moonlight with Christian Bautista on the background. It was a very romantic night. It made my vacation complete.

On our way back to Sablayan, nagsnorkling ulit kami. This time shipwreck naman tirada namin. First time ko makakita ng shipwreck. It was a japanese war time ship. The almost a dozen dolphins nagpakita samin. Diba ang saya!

Sa kasawiang palad, tragic ulit biyahe namin pauwi. Sa sobrang init ng van, nag hubad nlng si Josh at ako naman, paypay nang paypay. Gerl grabe trajic talaga to! Nastranded kami sa Abra de Ilog. 8 hours kaming naghintay shet! Kaya karaoke nalang kami. At di kami nagpatalo nila Josh at KEng sa mga tao dun. Siyempre kami pa. Dapat maasin ka. Dapat kami ang star!









Despite all the tragic events, masaya siya na bakasyon. Di lahat nakakapunta dito. Ang layo kasi. Siyempre proud ako kasi nakapunta na ako sa world's second biggest reef!

Anawangin Adventure

Puro na lang kami bakasyon. Ang itim itim ko na. Para akong mauubusan ng beach ngayong summer na to. Ubos na pera sa kakabakasyon. Pero sulit naman eh.

Last week pumunta kami sa Anawangin, Zambales. From Caloocan City Dumating kami sa San Antonio, Zambales in 4 hours. Grabe ang saya.



From Pundaquit bay, dumaan muna kami sa Capones Island kung saan ang ginawa namin mountain hiking at picture taking lang. Pero grabe ang ganda! Inakyat nami nang tuktok, wherein you can see a spectacular view of the whole island.






20 minutes after nasa Anawangin na kami. Para kang na sa New Zealand, Europe at Pinas in 1. Saan ka naman mamamakita ng isang hidden beach na walang kuryente, may pine trees, daming bato parang El Nido at ang buhangin ang kulay parang asukal na may paminta.







Since walang tirahan dun, kelangan magdala ng gamit.Bumili ako ng tent at nagdala ng cooler si Josh. Saya namin. Mga kasama namin sa Apo Reef ang nagorganize nito. Grabe ang OC nila sa itenerary. For 1300 super enjoy kami! Cowboy na cowboy ang dating.And since libre ni Josh ang bakasyong to enjoy na enjoy ako. Wala akong shinellout. Hehehehehe ....







Malas nga lang kasama ang bakasyon na to na nabura sa camera niya ..huhuhuhu ....Buti nalang may cam si Biboy.. Hala eto ang pics namin!

Ilocandia Adventure

After 2 months of waiting finally I am able to create a post about this trip!
Hinintay ko kasi pics ni Josh, sa kasawiang palad, nabura....

I went to Ilocos with Cecille, luckily we got a cebuPac round trip fare(Manila-Laoag-Manila) for only 1800php.

Manila to Laoag

Si cecille takot sa eroplano, first day kasi kaya picture lang kami ng picture mula MDA hanggang LIA.





Sinundo kami ni Josh sa airport at binigay niya ang pooh na stuff toy at flowers. Sinimot at inenjoy ko lng siay sa coche kasi pagdating sa apartment nya di na ako Jowa niya, si Cecille na!






On our way to Pagudpud, we passed by a very Romantic beach na puro beach, great timing sunset! parang shoooting nya blue moon ung si Eddie Garcia sa beach.





Pagudpud

Di ko kinaya ang ganda sa pagudpud kakaloka!!! Since kami lng tao, nagpakakami kami. Walang inhibitions..enjoy lang!!!























Watch Tower

Nung pauwi na kami, dumaan kami sa isang watch tower which I think is centuries old na, abandoned ata to at mukhang haunted









Bangui Windmills

Ang laki ng windmill nato, feeling ang laki ng mga fan para kang chochopchopin! grabe kaya pala may windmills dito kasi ang hangin parang bagyo everyday.picture lng kami ng picture atwala kami pakialam kahit may mga excursionist from baguio na nakatingin sa amin hehehe









Fort Ilocandia

Before heading to Fort Ilocandia for my first try on the slot machine, we first dined at chiken ati-atihan(cguro nag aatiatihan muan sila bago niluto). Fort Ilocandia is the only first class hotel in Ilocos, most of its clients go there for the casino







Paoay and San Nicolas
---------------------

Paoay is where the Paoay church is(obvious ba!) di actually heritage site ito ng UNESCO, so its really a privilege to be in a very classical place..char!







Sand Dunes

May dessert pala dito sa Pilipinas. Dito shinoshoot mga movies ni FPJ at kung ano man yung mga sinaunang telefantasya ni Vic Sotto, et al..







Vigan
-----------

Sobrang excited kami pumunta ni cecille sa Vigan, kahit alas kwatro na ng hapon, pinilit pa rin namin pumunta dun. Maliit lng pala siya, in 2 hours ikot na namin lahat. Buti mabait si manong calesa driver at nalibot namin talaga ang buong Vigan. Grabe kakapagod din ang biyaheng to...Pinuntahan namin ung church kung saan nagshooting si FPJ ulit, ung bahay ni Fr Burgos na pinigutan ng ulo ng mga ninuno kong Kastilla(hehehe), dinayo pa namin yung pagawaan ng palayok at ang ginawal ng namin ay bumili ng titi na pangsouvenir sa mga lalaking ofismate hehehe.Peor pinakafavorite ko ung empanada ng Vigan na ayaw dalhin ni Josh as his pasalubong sakin kasi mamantika daw



















Pauwi na kami

From vigan direcho na kami sa Max restaurant kasi nilibre kami ng kain ng ofismate ni Josh. Nung pauwi naman kami kumain muna kami sa La Preciosa para makakain kami ng Ilocano dishes. haay grabe 5 days din kami sa Ilocos.Ang sarap ng bakasyon. Ang saya. Kasi daming memories. Ang lungkot kasi magkakalayo na naman kami.
